The call from Spirit has grown in intensity in these last few years. Spirit is calling us to step up and to be open... to seeing our lives and ourselves. The call to be willing to shift all that is not aligned with our integrity, with our true selves and our authentic nature. If you do not feel an openness to seeing your life and yourself at this time, we would encourage you to embrace the willingness to be willing. This can be a powerful first step to healing your life. Even though it sounds simple, the profound impact of this can be immeasurable. If you feel resistance when trying to open up to willingness… we encourage you to to accept whatever resistance you are feeling. These are the parts of you that are crying out the most. Resistance can be the door to healing. What resistance can be showing us are the parts of ourselves we do not accept or like. Parts that are rebelling, demanding to be seen, demanding to be heard. Our understanding and willingness to see, hear and honor ourselves heals us. In our society the tendency is toward perfection... instead of authenticity, instead of what is Real. This shows up in many areas and ways in our society, for example… our educational system does not provide the environment for students to find their own unique authentic methods to show what they have learned. When we are in school there is one set of standards and testing to be measured by. We are unique individuals which means we are not all linear, we are not all test takers, we are not all measurable! We are unique... we must have the room and the environment that encourages and supports students in offering themselves and what they have learned through their own unique authentic methods. When we are living our lives from this linear perfectionism, our mindset is essentially about getting things right and correct... instead of offering our uniqueness and authenticity. We are not saying that linear knowledge, exactness or precision isn’t a needed, healthy or a powerful aspect to have or to offer. It absolutely is! We need all parts and aspects of our human potential. In medicine, science and math these attributes are necessary and essential. What we are encouraging is to open up to all attributes and ways of being… and seeing the need and the worth in all. We are also introducing how many people try to mold themselves into perfectionism, trying to obtain what seems to be the Gold standard based on popular culture... instead of their authentic way of being. The distortion and illusion… once I am perfect I can reveal who I really am… my perfect self… the illusory ideal. This is the dance that keeps us from showing our authentic selves... as we are in this moment. Keeps us from our Real selves, our humanity… our wholeness. Our willingness to break this cycle, our willingness to be willing... can transform our lives. The healing we are introducing is not about perfection… instead we are introducing seeing and being Real with what is. Seeing and honoring what is authentic... being open to the present moment and the truth in our lives and in ourselves. What we are encouraging is honoring our human imperfections. In honoring our imperfections we are still accountable for our choices and our lives. We are responsible for owning all of our life… it is our duty. Our accountability aligns us with our integrity and Spiritual truth. We must be willing to be the authority in our lives... the healthy parent who is willing to hear and guide the wounded child… helping to bring the wounded child into adulthood. People who are feeling the need to be somewhat perfect have a really hard time feeling the purposefulness of their imperfections, how the depth of their humanity could possibly serve them. And an even harder time with the reality that this is truly a beautiful part of their Soul’s lessons… creating their depth and their wisdom. It is time to know the truth and to live it… our imperfections are serving us! Changing, growing and maturing is part of the natural current of life. We are meant to be in this healthy flow of growth. When people get stuck in perfectionism their growth and maturation are stunted to varying degrees. Fear of being imperfect, incorrect or wrong keeps them from learning, expanding and maturing at their natural organic pace. Remember... our flaws, mistakes, imperfections, dysfunction and especially the ugly parts of our humanity... are the necessary elements we came to experience and learn from. For most people the parts of them that feel wrong, imperfect or less than… create a background fear... I probably shouldn’t have these parts to begin with. This is one place our resistance can come from… feeling as if these parts shouldn’t be here... so I resist seeing the reality... how much they are here. Our job is to see, love and honor why these parts are here and then be willing to heal. In Perfectionism we can’t see all of the potentials and possibilities that lie before us, because the vibration of perfectionism is so narrow and laser focused. That is why in this state people tend to be inflexible, frustrated easily, and struggle to love what is Real… Real life and Real love feel wrong. We are not saying that people who have the natural gift of being laser focused are perfectionistic. Or that their focus would make them inflexible, frustrated and incapable of seeing a variety of possibilities. Quite the contrary, we understand this is an authentic and powerful offering and we need this kind of alignment to create a healthier world. Our imperfect parts are still here because they have not been accepted or healed. Part of healing is recognizing to what level you have been unable to see the truth. This realization will help you be able to see yourself and to see your life with more clarity. Including… what the truth of your life currently is. Another aspect of healing is to understand that, in truth, being Real is the only perfection that we are able to experience. Holding this understanding about perfectionism will help you heal and transform your life.... if you are willing to see, honor and at some point, love all parts of yourself. Our imperfect parts are still here because they have not been accepted… they have not been loved. Once we accept and love all aspects of ourselves we can begin the natural process of integration. We are on our way to wholeness. Remember, we came to learn from life. Life is not perfect, and it does not feel good all the time, nor should it. That is how life works! We have taken a long walk down trying to be perfect lane. There is nothing wrong with having these thoughts, feelings or experiences. We are human and we are here to experience our humanity. The point now is to keep walking and be willing to see our life lessons and turn them into the wisdom we live by. Loving and accepting our imperfect selves opens us up to healing. Being willing to see ourselves as we are... is the Salve for our Souls. Being willing to keep loving what we see is the transformational element for our imperfect human.
