Trust and Trustworthiness

We invite you to hold the truth… being trustworthy is not about doing things perfectly or being perfect. The question is, am I open to seeing and feeling the truth of what is happening? Am I open to seeing what I am doing or what others are doing? Will I then own my part in what is happening and hold myself accountable? Will I hold others accountable for their part if they do not?

Remember, no one has the right to demand trust from us. They have the right to earn our trust, and we have the right to offer our trust. Just as we need to earn trust from others. Trust is earned… through thoughts, words and deeds. Also remember… when people show you who they are... believe them.
If I believe I need to be perfect to be trustworthy, then I will never trust myself and I will not be able to trust anyone else.

Being trustworthy does not mean... never making mistakes or doing things wrong. We are going to do things wrong and make mistakes... this is part of our human experience and the way we learn our life lessons.

Remember, being trustworthy is about holding myself accountable and being willing to see the truth. Being willing to see the truth about what is driving me... is it my integrity or my dysfunction? Will I admit and own the truth about what I am doing?

I am trustworthy when I make a mistake or I do something wrong, and then I have the rectitude to hold myself accountable or make amends for my choices and actions. Trustworthy is rectifying when needed.

I can trust others when I trust myself to act within my own truth and knowing… when I have my own back. When I trust myself, I am able to hold others accountable for their choices that impact or hurt me when they do not own what they have done. This is the walk of trust... trusting myself, trusting others and trusting Life.
