Fall in Love With What Wrong is Here to Teach You.

The reason I'm so aligned with myself isn't because I'm perfect, it's because I don't mind that I'm not perfect.
Karen Pangelinan
A foundational aspect of walking back into our authentic selves is learning to embrace the experience of being wrong. In the Western mindset especially, being wrong is something we are conditioned to avoid, sometimes at almost any cost.
  • We don't want to be at fault.
  • We try to not look foolish.
  • We can become obsessed with avoiding mistakes.
  • We fear failure.
  • We strive for perfection.
What does being wrong feel like? Why might this feel so frightening? Can we see how this fear of being wrong implies an underlying belief that our purpose is to only get things right? I should be perfect, becomes the unconscious feeling state, an assumed premise in almost everything... our relationships, our jobs, school, driving, and even in our playing. We are often looking for some outcome or standard we have to meet. This just feels normal.

Our objective is to try to get it right...
  • The right beliefs.
  • The right answers.
  • The right ways of doing things.
  • The right way to be.
  • The right way to heal.

Being in the perspective of trying to get things right tends to keep us in a looping pattern, reproducing the same kinds of problems and issues over and over. Life is presenting us with repeating, similar patterns to help us see what we are doing, so we can shift out of trying to do things right and into a willingness and openness for learning and growing as a human race. From this place and intention, we can integrate the wisdom we have acquired from all of our experiences.

When these looping patterns get bigger, the out of control feeling gets so big, we cannot handle anything else. We lock down... My life feels at stake, I have to find the right answer. This gains momentum, giving us tunnel vision and shutting us down to the possibilities before us. This can be the most contracted energetic state, where we are locked in on looking for the right way instead of being in tune with ourselves and our truth or the adjacent possibilities that are all around us.

How about asking...
  • What is needed in this context?
  • What do I feel is needed?
  • What is Real for me?
  • What is my Soul asking for?
  • What is my path?
  • Being willing to own what I know.

The fear of being wrong and the need to be right can stop us from being ourselves. This limited way of being tends to constrict our energy, collapse our perspective and make us brace against life. In this state it is difficult to be Real. This can hinder us from walking in our truth, integrity and our own knowing.

In Consecrated Living we see the experience of wrong
as a beautiful and necessary experience

for our Spiritual evolution and transformation.

Our Higher Selves have no wish to avoid mistakes. We are here to experience and learn from our faults and failures. We believe it is a distortion that we are all here to achieve one universal right way, or that this is a one size fits all reality of perfection or rightness.

Instead, we believe we are each here to live from within ourselves, to follow our own guidance, to experience what it is to be me, and be aligned with our authentic selves. This is our Divine calling, aligning us with Source and all of Life. We believe we are each here to show up authentically and offer our unique selves to our families, friends and the world!
When we feel ourselves bracing against being wrong, this is an opportunity to open up and go into all that wrong has to offer.
  • What does being wrong have to teach us?
  • What lessons are waiting for us in the experience of wrong?
  • Consider how having been wrong in the past has made us more balanced and wise, creating depth and breadth within us.
  • Open up to seeing how being wrong has been a natural humbling experience.

We can relax into the possibility that all of this is purposeful and serving us. We are being offered an opportunity to learn and grow in the depth of our character.

The more we can stand in the purposefulness of whatever we are experiencing, the more we will begin to feel and know that we are not diminished in any Real way by being wrong.

We are expanded by the experience of wrong, gaining so much through the lesson of whatever occurred, that we are richer for having been open to it. And as we practice this we cross a threshold where the illusion and fear of wrong breaks up. We begin to realize there is a lot to be learned from wrong. Then we are able to hold in our hearts this is not just a terrible or destructive experience but something we benefit greatly from.

Working to get it right takes us deeper into an illusion,
running on the treadmill of a false belief system for a goal we cannot reach... perfection.

We may have learned to associate being wrong with a loss of our power or even a sense of annihilation, or an underlying feeling state that we do not deserve to be here if we are at fault. As we allow ourselves to go into these feelings and experiences rather than escaping them, we begin to heal and integrate. Paradoxically, this is where we begin to return to our power, as we move through the fear of being wrong and the mistaken sense that we will be powerless or annihilated in its wake.
Embrace the possibility...
  • Getting it right is not a path of authenticity or transformation.
  • We find the wholeness of our human self in our mistakes.
  • Transformation can come from the openness to being wrong.
  • Our willingness to be wrong opens us up to the unlimited possibilities and potentials. When we are in open flow we naturally have access to more of our faculties.

Consider, the things we tend to think of as ugly and wrong are actually the meat of our transformation. Working to get it right takes us deeper into the collapse of our limited ego and into lessons of contrast.

The call is to wake up! It is time to walk out of limitation and collapsed understanding into openness, willingness and our deepest and most Sacred lessons of Spirit leading our lives.

If you feel called to go into your deeper lessons or the unhealed parts of yourself, we would love to walk and guide you through your transformation and healing. We are waiting with a sense of great anticipation for you to open the door of your own healing and walk through.

We encourage you to claim Wrong! in your own unique way. Embrace this as a beloved and desired aspect of your soul's experience. Claim your life and what your Soul's lessons are here to offer.

See the experience of wrong as Sacred.
Therein lies your Salvation.
