Truth... In Our Grounded State We Are Open To Our Pain And Discomfort.
Ego Distortion... Pain and Discomfort are bad and do not feel good, so most try to avoid any experience that may lead to these states. Unspoken distortion, we should feel good most of the time. Ego has most people chasing the rabbit to certain degrees (this is an addiction term for chasing a high). What we need to keep in mind is addiction isn't only about drugs. We live in an addictive culture. It is time to see the truth.
The call to your Soul... that you may start feeling this huge distortion. I encourage you to be open to seeing and feeling for yourself how this belief leads to addictive behaviors. It is time to see how normal it is to self medicate, distract ourselves trying to feel good, keeping busy--living in avoidance, etc. This is not saying we cannot have fun or feel good, that is not the point. Feeling good and having fun are part of a balanced life. This is about being out of balance to the point of becoming addicted to feeling good and avoiding natural pain and discomfort of life.
The truth is, when we are living in our natural state we are grounded and open to our pain, discomfort and all that pain and discomfort mean to show us about ourselves and our lives.
These feeling states are part of our internal call to wake up! This is part of our life experience and our humanity. We can learn to be comfortable with our discomfort. It will not kill us. Instead we become whole and healthier by listening to our bodies speaking to us and trying to show us potential problems that need addressing or solving.
The Reality... It is natural that we would feel uncomfortable as it is part of life. Bad things happen in life, loved ones die, relationships end, we have daily stressors, real life issues and wounds. Pain and Discomfort are natural responses... they are here to alert and awaken us, so we can heal and become whole... seeing what is true and what needs tending. Be open to all your body has to tell you.
