We believe, acknowledge, and honor that it hurts to heal from dysfunction and addiction. We would also like to offer the expanded perspective that it hurts to hear the needed truth about ourselves.
It is painful to have to see the areas of our lives that need to shift and things that need to change. Because it means we have to begin to feel the pain that we have been avoiding, suppressing, and distracting ourselves from. Or perhaps we are self medicating to avoid feeling the necessary discomfort and pain. We must open up to the Divine truth that pain is a natural state when we are healing. There is no difference between healing our emotional wounds and healing a broken bone, as far as having to deal with some pain and discomfort in order to heal. Hopefully, remembering this simple reality and truth can help you open up and embrace the pain you have long avoided.
